Ethical Charter

 

1. Children’s Rights and safety

The association aims to safeguard children’s rights and equip them to be safer by raising awareness about child sexual abuse, assault and harassment by providing education and awareness materials, conducting campaigns and providing a support group for victims of abuse.

2. Integrity

The members pledge to abide by the provisions of the by-laws of the association and conduct themselves in accordance with prevailing socially accepted civic norms and conventions, and exemplary moral and ethical standards, and assume responsibility.

3. Accountability and Transparency

The members will be transparent about the management of all of the funds raised and all the expenses incurred. There will be true records of all receipts and disbursements and a detailed financial report will be generated.

4. Diversity, Inclusiveness and Equality

All members, volunteers, partners and beneficiaries will be treated the same without distinction of any kind such as race, colour, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity, language, religion, political or any other opinion, national or social origin, wealth, birth or other status or situation.

5. Justice

The members will seek to provide justice to any beneficiary.

6. Confidentiality

Due to the sensitivity of the issue, all the members will respect the beneficiaries' confidentiality and their wish to remain anonymous.

7. Empowerment and Independence

The goals of all of the members will be to enable and empower the beneficiaries; provide them with the knowledge and tools to address child sexual abuse; and support the mission ahead.

8. Effective Partnerships

The members will work with local partners as much as possible to create accessible expertise and to expand the scope and reach of our programs.

9. Respect

Respect starts at the Association where all members will treat each other with respect. This will continue when the Association partners with other organizations and above all the members will treat the communities and the children with utmost respect.

10. Volunteerism

Members of the Association shall participate on a voluntary basis. The members encourage volunteerism from people from different professional backgrounds as ‘diversity of thought’ creates a very productive association.

11. Non profit organization without political affiliations

The Association shall be a non-profit association without any affiliation, endorsement, and support to any political parties, groups or institutions. This association is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes.
